Soul Surfer
They say Bethany Hamilton has saltwater in her veins. How else could one explain the passion that drives her to surf? How else could one explain that nothing—not even the loss of her arm—could come between her and the waves? That Halloween morning in Kauai, Hawaii, Bethany responded to the shark's stealth attack with the calm of a girl with God on her side. Pushing pain and panic aside, she began to paddle with one arm, focusing on a single thought: "Get to the beach...." And when the first thing Bethany wanted to know after surgery was "When can I surf again?" it became clear that her spirit and determination were part of a greater story—a tale of courage and faith that this soft-spoken girl would come to share with the world.
Soul Surfer is a moving account of Bethany's life as a young surfer, her recovery after the attack, the adjustments she's made to her unique surfing style, her unprecedented bid for a top showing in the World Surfing Championships, and, most fundamentally, her belief in God. It is a story of girl power and spiritual grit that shows the body is no more essential to surfing—perhaps even less so—than the soul.
Teen prayers by Teens
Offers teens three types of prayers they will find appealing. Original prayers written by teens that bring everyday life to the Lord and that acknowledge God's care about even the most ordinary events, such as friends, sports, and school. The second section taps into the tradition of praying for the saints' intercession for our needs, and introduces each saint with a brief biography. The final section offers a selection of some of the Church's traditional prayers with a teen's reflections on the importance of this prayer in his or her life.
Do Hard Things
Combating the idea of adolescence as a vacation from responsibility, the authors weave together biblical insights, history, and modern examples to redefine the teen years as the launching pad of life and map a clear trajectory for long-term fulfillment and eternal impact. Written by teens for teens, Do Hard Things is packed with humorous personal anecdotes and stories of teens in action.
the journals of Rachel Scott
Rachel Scott struggled with personal issues like every teenager, but she met those challenges with a deep, energetic faith in Jesus Christ. Her journals are filled with artwork, poetry, letters, and running talks with God. As you read her thoughts and prayers, you'll be encouraged to live with deeper faith and trust.
Be the change
Most people think the average teenager isn't capable of much beyond hanging with their friends and wasting time. But Zach Hunter isn't your average teenager. And he's hoping to show you that you're not either.
Zach has been trying to end slavery around the globe. Most people (maybe even you) think that slavery has been over for a long time. But sadly, there are more people bound in slavery now than at any of the times we read about in our history books. Now Zach is working to end slavery and free the men, women, and children who are being held against their will.
Just look around the world and on the news and you'll find that there are plenty of things wrong with our planet---homelessness, hunger, global warming, AIDS...the list goes on and on. And we usually look at these problems and decide they're too big for us to do anything about. But Zach is proving that one person can make a difference. And in his book, he'll reveal the elements needed to make amazing changes in your world. In the end, he hopes you'll find the thing you're passionate about---and start making changes!
When teens pray
When Teens Pray richly demonstrates how God has intervened as teenagers have sought Him. Each chapter features true-life stories of the power of teens and prayers as they intercede for their high schools, families, and friends; as they pray on the mission field; and as they deal with the struggles of adolescence. God links - dynamic prayer strategies supplied throughout the book - help the reader connect with God. These amazing stories demonstrate that teenagers don't have to finish college or go to seminary for God to use them; they can impact their world and see their own lives changed as they pray - wherever they are.
Teens Share the Word

Does God really speak to us? How can we hear his voice? What does the Bible have to do with us today? The teens who wrote this book asked themselves these questions, and they testify to the impact of God's Word in all areas of their lives- relationships, temptation, prayer, forgiveness, school, life choices, and much more. Teens Share the Word leads teens into a deeper relationship with God by modeling a personal approach to Scripture, and at the same time offers them Scripturally-based guidance for issues they face every day.
